Another year has passed by and now it is time to reflect on some of the favorite things of 2011.
BOOKS
I have read way to many books in 2011 to make a list. All I know is my genre of 2011 was Scandinavian crime fiction. I mean I even named one of my fantasy hockey teams after my favorite Scandinavian author.
Movies
Either my memory is really bad or I didn’t watch that many movies in 2011, I believe it is the combination of the two. These are in no particular order just the ones that come to the top of my head first.
The Muppets- I thought it could have been way better, I don’t think the movie had enough of Gonzo.
Hesher - I’m a big fan of Joseph Gordon Levitt and I thought he was pretty flawless in this movie.
The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo - I like both versions, I thought both directors did a fantastic job on it. Huge props to Fincher for keeping all the locations and names the same as the book.
Troll Hunter - Nothing more to say.
Louis CK - Live at the Beacon Theatre
Rare Exports - My new favorite Chrismas movie that I will watch every year.
Movies I am looking forward to watching that I missed: Bellflower, 13 Assassins, and Drive.

10 Gillian Welch - The Harrow & The Harvest
